The guessing game of new shows I book…

It is exhausting to me to book new shows…. I find it a guessing game when I book a new show I have never done before.  I can go and check it out.  Check out the demographics, do my homework. It is still a guessing game.  I can think this will be a great place for my puppets  to sell.  It has great attendance, great amount of kids, and sell two puppets…. and yet the shows I think will be break even shows.  Those shows I do just to get my name out there.  I do GREAT!  Go figure.  This year my goal is to do one or two shows a month.  I want at to do one big show each month.  This is proving harder than I thought.  I am booking shows now for the fall and winter, plus shows for May…  I have never done spring time shows.  So all these shows now are new.  Total unknowns for me.  Wish me luck!   off to sew I go..  Two new shows next week.  Crazy.  Two in one week.  Sometimes that’s just how it happens.

Things Are Looking Good

These last few months I have really made an effort to push my puppets from a hobby to a business.  I finally feel like I am make strides in the right directions.  All that I have been working on is paying off.  I have my first shows coming up in the next couple of weeks and I am hoping to do really well at them.  I am excited.  So many things are falling into place.

My fundraising campaign is off to a good start.  I have gotten some supports from my family.  I so appreciate them.  My page was approved by go fund me and it is now a public page and anyone can search for it!  I will keep fundraising for another month.  If you haven’t had a chance to check out my page please go check it out!  Share it, talk to your friends about it!  Thanks! Here is that link to the page if you thought you might want to check it out.  http://www.gofundme.com/7x2wuw

Onward and upward!  Oh I almost forgot.  I have a meeting with the owner of  a local toy store who is willing to sit down with me and discuss putting my puppets in her store!  Not sure how that will go, but at least she is willing to talk to me.  Fingers crossed!
